“In a short period of time I have noticed a significant difference in his level of anxiety, ADD & his fine & gross motor skills, together with an altogether calmer & happier little boy. She has brought a peace to his life that I could only have dreamed of a few months ago.” - Josh’s Mum

Gentle, therapeutic and devised especially for children and young adults with special needs; these classes aim to enhance the natural development of each child, bringing more motor control & balance, greater muscle tone & coordination, improved respiratory strength & better posture.

Yoga encourages self-regulation of emotions & helps to establish calm, organised emotional states; it can improve concentration, quality of sleep, reduce anxiety & release tension.

I have been working with children and young adults with special needs and mental health challenges for over 10 years. I trained with Sonia Sumar of Yoga for the Special Child in the USA and Jo Manuel of The Special Yoga Centre in London, both pioneers in this field.

I work with a wide variety of children and adults with a broad range of complex conditions, including Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, Autism, Epilepsy, Dravet Syndrome, ADHD & other physical and developmental challenges.

I work on a weekly one to one basis. Each session includes mobility, balance, strength training, core, confidence and mindfulness work. It’s effective, calming and (perhaps more important) great fun.

Classes take place at my studio in Wargrave.

One to one session - £35 / 30 minutes

“Keira loves yoga and Sarah deserves massive credit for creating an environment where Keira could do physiotherapy in a way that she enjoys. Sarah’s efforts allowed Keira to develop core strength to be able to walk with stability, to be able to walk up and down stairs without always needing the handrail and even to be able to jump.” - Keira’s mum
